Urethral syringe, which consists of two parts that fit together; the syringe barrel (a) consists of a hollow cylindrical glass tube with round open ends; one end has an attached red rubber tip that tapers to a blunted point with a small round opening; the other end of the barrel is round and open with threading on the outer edge; a plunger (b) fits into the barrel; the plunger consists of a length of solid cylindrical bakelite with a solid round rubber plug at one end, which fits snugly into the syringe barrel; the other end of the plunger has a round thumb ring at the end; there is also a round cap that has a hole through its middle; the cap slides up and down the cylindrical bar; there is threading on the inside of the cap which allows it to be attached to the open end of the syringe barrel
