Syringe kit, which consists of several pieces in a metal case; the syringe itself is made up of six metal parts (a-f); these consist of (a) the syringe barrel, which is a hollow cylindrical tube with a tapered, threaded, open tip and a round open threaded end; a pair of flat finger grips come out at the left and right sides; a plunger (b) fits into the syringe; the plunger is made of a solid cylindrical shaft with a rounded plug at one end that fits snugly into the syringe barrel; the other end of the shaft has threading which allows the attachment of a thumb-push piece (c); this piece is round and flat and has a threaded area on the bottom; the plunger end of the barrel has a rounded metal cap (d) which has a hole in the centre and threading on its inner edges; the cap fits over and onto the end of the barrel and the plunger shaft slides through it; the tip end of the barrel also has a rounded metal cap (e), with a hole in the centre and threading on its inner edges; the cap fits over and onto the end of the barrel and the syringe tip goes through the centre of the cap; there is also a rounded syringe tip cap (f); this cap is rounded and hollow with a flat closed top and an open round bottom that has threading on its inner edges; a needle (g) will also fit onto and over the syringe tip; the needle has a hollow rounded open base with threading on its inner edges; the other end tapers to a hollow cylindrical metal needle that has a sharp open bevelled tip; all pieces of the kit are stored in a metal case (h); the case is square with a rectangular piece at the right side; the case has a lid hinged onto a bottom; both pieces have 7 outwardly-rounded sections molded into the metal; there are two needle-holder clasps attached to the top right; the bottom left has 7 flat rounded strips of metal at the left side; these hold the case contents snugly in place in the case; the back hinge has a small spring which lifts the lid when the front clasp is pushed in
