A plier-like instrument that is made of two attached halves which groove out at an angle in the centre and flare into bulbous ends; the head of the shears have a roofed cut-off cap that fits securely over the cast blade; the blade has a pivot pin inserted into metal which moves back and forth along an imbedded groove on the cast blade; this enables both metals to come together when cutting cast plaster; two other pivot screws are fastened on handles to allow free movement of the cast blade and roofed cut-off blade
The words "INGRAM & BELL" with the company logo adjacent are stamped on the right handle; the logo has a crown atop a sword with a snake intertwined around the blade (see accession sheet for sketch); the word "GERMANY" is stamped on outside of metal
