Uterine curette, which consists of a long, narrow metal blade attached to an ebony handle; the blade consists of a long, narrow length of solid, cylindrical metal with a rounded concave scoop at the tip; the scoop has a closed, rounded base and serrated edges; the other end of the blade attaches to an ebony handle; the handle is made of solid wood with flat top, bottom and sides, and a rounded end; the top and bottom have a cross-hatched gripping pattern cut into the wood.

Condition Remarks
The wood is complete and shows no chips or cracks; the metal shows wear, especially at the bottom of the tip where the plating has worn off and the metal shows a patch of corrosion; the curette arrived with a tag attached with masking tape -- both were removed; (2): handle is worn; foregin matter gathered in grooves; inactive corrosion on back of head.
