Stomach suture apparatus, which consists of (a) a large, heavy, double-handled, double-bladed clamp with box joint handles that pull away from each other to open upper blade to display 23 pairs of narrow rectangular slots that hold suture clips on bottom blade; two thumb-printed, wide serrated based screws hold blades to handle; small square opening at back of lower blade; there is a four-sided sliding bar with serrations on top side inside lower blade, lying flush to the distal end; (b) filling rack, which has a flat rectangular base with rounded corners; two perpendicular squares with rounded upper edges are attached to the base 1.6 cm apart; (c) filling pin, which is a cylindrical handle with a rounded proximal end; distal end tapers to a flat blade; (d) additional closing clamp, which consists of a one-piece U-shaped base with an open centre; top of U is closed off with a six-sided solid piece of metal that has a flat bottom and rounded tip and sides; threaded bar that extends from the handle into an open wedge has a flat, oval-shaped handle with depressed sides for gripping; distal end of threaded bar has attached six-sided piece of metal located inside wedge; underside is concave; one screw on one side; (e) gear wheel, which is an octagon-shaped solid piece of metal with a screw that secures protruding shaft to wheel; distal end of shaft is square-sided and has a flat bottom; (g) suture clip box, which is a clear plastic rectangular-shaped bottom with rounded corners; the sides turn upwards from the bottom and the top is open; in the box there are 300 German silver suture clips; a clear plastic, rectangular-shaped lid (f) with rounded corners and edges that turn downwards to fit snugly over box bottom; encapsulated instruction sheet (h).

First part: gastrointestinal suturing apparatus; stomach resection, Billroth II method, with front or rear gastrojejunostomy (see photocopy: Abb.1 and Abb.1A); second part: further isolation of stomach up to the upper third by ligatures on both curvatures; provisional occlusion of the stomach at the envisaged resection line, using the suture apparatus (see photocopy, Abb.2); third part: separation of the aboral part (the portion to be resected) of the stomach (see photocopy, Abb.3a); formation of a gastrojejunostomy with or without stomach clamp; after application of the Lembert ligature, the temporary clip ligature can be cut open with scissors and the gastric lumen reopened (see photocopy, Abb.3).
