Plaster of Paris shears, which consist of a scissor-like instrument made of two joined pieces; the shears have two handles with open oval finger and thumb grips (the lower one is larger); the grips are at the end of straight, rounded handles; the handles are joined together with a screw joint; the other side of the joint has two flat blades; one blade has a rounded tip and outer edge and a sharp, straight cutting edge; the other blade has a blunted, pointed tip, straight outer edge, and a serrated cutting edge; both inside edges are flat and straight.
