Adjustable wire splint, which consists of a piece of peanut-shaped mesh wire that has rounded ends and edges that are covered with metal strips; the splint is curved to fit a human body part (most likely a leg or arm); the splint has been bent a fair amount and there are three breaks in the outer metal strip; there are two metal bands attached to the bottom of the splint that likely originally had cloth straps.
