Wax anatomical model (moulage) of a somatotype shows a woman, probably demonstrating a lack of menstruation; the model is made of oil-painted beeswax with talc, built up with heavy metal wires in the legs and body for support; the model shows a naked woman standing up on a round base with her legs straight and apart to reveal an enlarged clitoris; the arm on the right side is bent with the hand resting on her hip while the arm on the left side is slightly bent with the hand resting below her buttock; the model shows pubic hair and smallish breasts; the model is painted to depict true colour.

Models made by Marjorie Winslow; they were commissioned as teaching aids by Dr. Robertson of the Queen’s University Faculty of Medicine, who also helped with the anatomical details.

The model is extremely dirty and dusty; the model was poorly handled and stored and as a result is cracked and broken; the base has a large chip missing from it and the wire from the leg on the left side has become detached; both legs are extremely damaged at the lower fronts with cracks and breakage into several pieces; both feet are broken off and missing; the arms are complete and have only minor scuff marks; the head is broken off at the neck, exposing the internal wire, and is missing; the surface of the model has several scuff marks
