Wax model (moulage) of a somatotype of a standing human hermaphrodite figure; the model is made of oil-painted beeswax with talc, built up possibly with internal wires for support; the model shows a naked figure standing up on a round base with its legs straight and together and its arms straight and held against the sides; the figure has a slightly swayed back and has body hair on the entire body as well as on its lip; the breasts are undeveloped; the hair is in a molded and painted braid which runs down the back; the model is painted to depict true colour.

Models made by Marjorie Winslow; they were commissioned as teaching aids by Dr. Robertson of the Queen’s University Faculty of Medicine, who also helped with the anatomical details.

Condition Remarks
The model is extremely dirty and dusty; the right side leg is cracked just above the knee; the left side leg is cracked at the buttock; the surface shows minor scuff marks
