It is injected intramuscularly. Used to treat adult and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and Felty’s syndrome. It is also known as sodium aurothiomalate. Used for patients who are unresponsive to more conservative drug therapy such as anti-inflammatory agents.
