X-ray tube which consists of a hollow cylindrical glass tube with cylindrical metal pieces within (and a small amount of oil); the top of the tube is capped with a black plastic piece from which the top of a glass tube emerges; there are also seven screw holes, two of which have cloth-covered wires attached; the bottom of the tube is capped with a black plastic section which has a screw hole in the centre and two cut holes either side of it.
Manufacturer's label at bottom reads, "ML-4IU Machlett Made in U.S.A. Maximum Voltage 140 PKV Filament Voltage 6.0 Volts"; metal piece within is stamped "H67502"
