Lamp stand, which consists of a long, solid cylindrical brass bar with a decorative loop at the top and a base that tapers out and is round; the base is weighted with lead, so that the lamp stand cannot be tipped over; there is a hollow, egg-shaped piece that can slide up and down on the central bar; this piece has vertical lines covering its outer edges.
