Wooden wood working tongue plane, which consists of (a) the plane body, (b) a wedge, and (c) an iron; the plane body consists of a rectangular-shaped flat piece of wood with flat fore and britch ends at the left and right sides, a flat top with a rectangular wedge slot cut into it and a flat, grooved sole or face at the bottom that also has a slot (or mouth) cut into the wood; the upper right corner is rounded; a wooden wedge (b) fits into the slot cut out at the top; the wedge is made of a flat piece of wood cut to have a rounded handle on one end and tapered to a blunt point at the other end; there is a rounded notch cut out of the wood just below the rounded end; an iron (or cutter) (c) also fits into the slot cut out at the bottom and through the body of the plane and the slot at the top; the iron consists of a piece of iron with a flat narrow section with a rectangular piece at one end; the rectangular piece has a rounded slot cut into its centre and sharp, bevelled, straight front tips; the end of the narrow section is flat; the iron's cutting edge lines up with the slot in the face and allows the user to cut a straight raised section that has straight grooves on both sides, when running the plane face over a piece of wood; the plane body has several numbers, letters and words stamped into the wood of the fore and britch ends. Deaccessioned in 2013.

(a) The fore end (or left side) of the plane body has the words, "AUBURN TOOL CO // AUBURN. N.Y." around a 5-pointed star stamped into the wood; the britch end (or right side) of the plane body has, "1/2 // No. 69 // C" stamped into the wood.
