rod as well as other metal pieces; the top of the glass tube has a wire coming out of it; the bottom of the glass tube has the end of the metal rod (with a metal clip around it) coming out.
Manufacturer's mark on the inner glass tube reads, "GE Coolidge Tube CDX Made in U.S.A."; the number "922" is stamped into the bottom end of the metal rod
