The ether hook consists of a hollow metal tube; a small, cup-shaped metal cylinder with a round hole at the end tapers into a round metal tube; the tube flares near the hook end, and then narrows to form a flat tube; this flat portion curves to form a hook; the hook ends with an oblong hole, with a curved, square piece of metal extending slightly past the hole on the inner side of the curve.
