Variable capacitor which consists of (a) a protective backing made of curved aluminum and painted black on the outside; the backing has a support clip at the top; (b) workings which consist of 22 semi-circular discs set beside and above one another, so that they will turn; these are set on a central brass (?) rod with two rods either side and a piece of wood at the top to form a frame; at the very top of the central rod is a plug of rubber.
