Separatory funnel consists of a long, hollow cylindrical glass tube with a bulbous chamber, with a frosted glass neck that has a closed, round lip at the top; a narrow glass tube protrudes from the bottom of the glass chamber; this tube runs through the centre of a cylindrical, horizontal stopcock with two circular openings on either end with a closed, rounded lip; the inner surface is frosted glass; a T-shaped, smooth, solid glass handle protrudes from one opening, and a round, frosted glass peg surrounded by a square, folded piece of green painted metal protrudes from the outer stopcock opening; beneath the stopcock, the glass tube enters a flared glass cylinder, smooth at its top, and frosted glass at its bottom; there is a round opening at its end; inside this opening, the glass tube is visible; it has a round opening, and its end has been broken off, leaving the tip rough and jagged; graduation lines and numbers run vertically up one side of the bulbous cylinder; it has a 1,000-ml capacity.
One row of short and long graduation lines runs up one side of the funnel; the numbers "0 // 100 // 200 // 300 // 400 // 500 // 600 // 700 // 800 // 900 // 1000" correspond to these lines; beneath the "1000" is "ml"; to the proper left, it reads, "1000 ml // PYREX® // USA" all of this text appears in white transfer ink; underneath this, there is a solid, frosted glass circle; on the side of the stopcock, in green transfer ink: "PYREX® // T ["S" overwritten] 4"; on the stopcock handle, "T ["S" overwritten] 4" appears in raised glass lettering on one side, and "KIMAX // USA" appears in raised glass lettering on the other side; on the side of the cylinder below the stopcock, "T ["S" overwritten] 24/40" appears in green transfer ink; in the two top corners of the folded green piece of metal, "4" and "1" are pressed into the metal.
