Wheelchair patient safety belt, which consists of two main flat nylon straps, both loose at one end, and connected to each other at their other ends to form a V-shape; a semicircular closed metal buckle is sewn to each strap approximately 56 cm from their loose ends; there is a white rectangular label sewn to one strap; a short piece of strap connects the two larger straps below these buckles; below this portion, the straps slant towards each other, and are sewn together at their ends; a folded piece of strap is sewn to this connection point; three rows of stitching provide it with three loops.
A fabric label sewn to one nylon strap reads "J. T. POSEY CO. // 3950 ALTADENA DR. // PASADENA, CA. 91107 // . WASHABLE."

Condition Remarks
The edges of the midpoints of the straps were yellowing; the bottom, folded extension had a yellow and white deposit on its top surface; there were three brown deposits (small) on the top surface of the large straps near their loose ends; there were no tears or corrosion on metal parts.
