B-D Ace hypodermic syringe, consisting of (a) a hollow, glass cylindrical barrel that is open at both ends; the tip is cylindrical metal and has a luer-lok system to hold the needle in the small, round opening; the opposite end has a large, round opening with a round protruding lip with two flattened anti-roll sides; the plunger (b) is a hollow, frosted glass cylinder with a flat bottom and a small, round, flat thumb-push on top.

a - barrel - Size: Length 7.5 cm x Width 1.7 cm x Depth 1.5 cm
On the outer side of the barrel, yellow-brown printing reads, "ACE // Becton, Dickinson & Co. [cursive] // MADE IN U.S.A." followed by two rows of short and long increment lines, one row interspersed with, "½ // 1 // 1½ // 2 cc" and the other by "10 // 20 // 30 m"; a symbol that looks like a leaf with "B-D" superimposed appears beside the increment lines, and also near the thumb-push end of the plunger.

Condition Remarks
All parts move freely; there were slight signs of wear; there was no corrosion, and no chips, breaks or large scratches; the inner surface of the barrel had some scratches.
