Metal forceps have a scissor-type handle with a loop on the end of each handle for fingers; however, instead of a left-right arrangement, the handle arms are in a front-back position; at the pivot, the forceps arms bend at approximately a 130° angle; when the handles are manipulated, the back one remains stationary while the front moves the single arm of the forceps back; the hind arm ends approximately 3 cm after the pivot; at its end is a screw-type control knob for limiting this movement; the arm of the instrument is a round, long cylinder with a wide, corrugated ring at its handle end; at the other end, it bends at approximately a 145° angle and terminates in two rounded, tapered jaws; the lower one is larger, has an oval aperture with two thin pieces of metal across it, and is ringed with tiny teeth; the upper component also lhas an oval aperture, but is hinged as well; when the handles are opened, it rises, opening the jaws; this cylindrical arm rotates.
