A monocular magnifying or reading glass (a) in a leather case (b); the reading glass consists of a round piece of glass with slightly convex curves on both sides and thin, flat outer edges; one side has an attached metal handle made of heavy solid cylindrical wire; the handle has an elongated teardrop shape and is open in the centre; it is attached on the glass with three small metal bars on both sides and a screw that goes through the glass; the reading glass is stored in a leather case (b); this case is teardrop-shaped and has a flap on one side that shuts with a snap and allows the glass to be put in securely and taken out.

Condition Remarks
(a) The glass shows minor wear only; there are no deep scratches, chips or breaks; the metal shows only minor wear and no corrosion is visible; (b) the leather shows a fair amount of wear--especially at the outer edges; the flap is torn in half at the middle and is prone to further damage; #2: leather is torn.
