Douglass antrum trocar cannula, which consists of a hollow cylindrical metal tube that has a bulbous attachment at the end, which allows rubber tubing to be attached to the cannula; the bulbous section is also hollow and has a round, open end; just before the bulbous attachment there is a flat, oval piece of metal with upwardly curving sides attached to the top of the tube; this forms a thumb piece; after the thumb piece, the tube curves downwards at a 45° angle, then straightens out again; the tube is cut off at a bevelled edge with another hollow cylindrical tube fitting tightly inside; this inner tube is straight until the tip, where it curves; the tip end flattens out into three sides and ends with a sharp point; each side of the tip has a small oval hole through it.
