Andrews' mastoid gouge, which consists of an instrument made from a single solid piece of metal; the main handle/shaft of the gouge is cylindrical with eight flat sides; the gouge tapers slightly and rounds out to end with a semicircular thin sharp edge; the top has a concave groove in the metal; the other end of the gouge tapers in, then flares out to form a solid flat round piece.
