T-shaped device consisting of two cylinders at right angles; main body of instrument (a) has a projection to one side which is the burner; there is a lever on the opposite side of the projection; a long copper tube emerges from wire mesh from the inside of the cylinder; at right angles is the brass handle (b), which screws into (a), fitting over the copper tube; a brass cover (c) screws onto the top of (a).
