Acquired from the Academy of Medicine; source: Mary B. Millman, daughter of Dr. Thomas Millman of Oxford Co.; Dr. Millman purchased the case and instruments while in London and Edinburgh in 1875-76.
On underside of case's lid is imprinted in gold a double oval; around the rim is "EVANS & STEVENS // 6 DOWGATE HILL & 16 STAMFORD ST"; inner oval has, "LONDON"; on the top is stamped in gold an upward-pointing arrow with a large "I" beneath it.

Condition Remarks
Glass barrel needs to be cleaned out and metal rod detached from plunger; #2: (b) ivory handle has a small crach 1.0 cm long; metal has some minor discolouration; the inside of the glass tube has no cracks; some green spots or stains; rubber stopper has cracks and green stains throughout; (c-e) needles show some signs of discolouration; no active corrosion
