A rectangular mahogany case (c) has a two-piece lid that fits over the top of the machine and down its front; there is a plastic control panel at the back left corner that has knobs and gauges; at front left is a string galvanometer; below the galvanometer is a voltage gauge with a scale ranging from 0 to 7; at front middle is a round, black motor, which is connected by a rubber belt to a film canister at front right; canister is contained in a metal compartmentwith a sliding door at the front (a); on top of the compartment is a voltage gauge with a scale from 0 to 7; on the side of the compartment, which receives the galvanometer ray, is a calibrated slit through which the ray passes to be recorded on the oscilligraph inside the compartment; behind the compartment that contains the film canister is a rectangular section for a long coil of wires one end of which is linked to the bottom of the panel; the section is formed by a metal slide plate (b).

Machine base mouldy and dirty; long coil of wire unusable if not repaired; covering bag is dirty; a splinter of wood found inside the case, fallen off from top inner surface; #2: Leather case is in bad shape.
