Colorimeter (a) is a box-like metal frame with a collapsible eyepiece fitted at ninety degrees to the frame; a control at the right adjusts the scale from 0-100 and supports a wedge-shaped standard solution; at left are fittings for a trough for the specimen under investigation; comes in a wooden box (b); also included are ground-glass standards: a wedge-shaped trough for urine sugar (c) filled with blue fluid, with its painted box (d), a rectangular trough for blood suger (e), filled on one side with yellow fluid and on the other with amber fluid, with its painted box (f), and a wedge-shaped trough for bilirubin (g), filled with pale orange fluid, with its painted box (h); also included are instructions and standard graphs for blood sugars and bilirubin (i-o).

Autenrieth and Konigsbarger; for examining blood sugars and bilirubin in urine; used by Dr. Gordon Edmund during WW II in Holland and Germany when he was a lab tech. in the British Army; most laboratory equipment in the British Army was German-made.
