June 2023: overall excellent condition; slight discolouration of fabric around model, ingrained dirt on base and a few small paint losses; paper label discoloured and foxed.
The model was made for the Art Service, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. The inscription indicates that it was made in the Toronto General Hospital's Department of Surgery.
Paget disease of the nipple (also known as Paget disease of the breast and mammary Paget disease) is a rare type of cancer involving the skin of the nipple and usually also the areola.
