A case lined with velvet contains a glass slide calibrated from 0 to 60 on one edge; the other edge is mounted with an additional layer of glass 1.1 cm wide and banded with metal on two short ends; an enamelled slide calibrated from 0 to 60 on one side and 15 down to 4 on the other side; two cards labelled as the scale of the haematoscope; and two metal vaccinating tips.
