Dr. Sturgeon graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in 1930; he was in private practice from 1931 to 1940, at which time he joined the RCAF as a medical officer; in 1945, he went into Public Health in Welland, Ont., where he was Medical Officer of Health until his retirement in 1973.
