(a) Wood is split at the top of the crutch just below the armpiece; repair carried out at some point with fabric tape wrapped around broken area; (b) armpiece of crutch has become partially detached from crutch, caused by the wooden pegs of the crutch being split by the nails; #2: the handle of (a) is loose.
