Chadborn-Schimmelbusch ether mask / inhaler folding type, which consists of a metal base formed into an egg-shaped oval with an open centre; there are two folding semi-circular pieces of metal that create a convex shape above the base; these can be folded flat towards the base; there is a flat rounded piece of metal coming from one end of the base that forms a handle; at the point where the handle joins the base, a heavy oval wire is attached; this has a screw attachment at the other end, which holds it in place in a rounded slot; the wire can be lifted up and over the convex-shaped pieces.
