Operating table consists of an enameled metal frame with three metal casters and two feet; table has two adjustable leafs and a middle part which has a drainage channel leading to the edge of the table; between middle section and leaf is an opening with a tray to catch liquid; tray has a drain in centre and below tray is a metal (b) platform that rests on sides of table frame; one leaf has an adjustable (c) head support while the joints at the other leaf have welded on holders for possible stirrups; table comes with four (d-g) padded leatherette cushions; and one metal (h) ankle stirrup.

Artefact is stained with yellow stains throughout; cream enamel layer is cracking, chipping and flaking off revealing a white layer which is also flaking off and revealing a black undercoating; rubber on metal wheels has worn off leaving a hard thin rubber coating; leatherette cussions are tearing and wearing off at edges and creases; smaller cussion has a stain where material has disintegrated and a rip in upholstery revealing stuffing; all or some of cussions could be of a different time period than table; #2: Condition Report on file.
