A Yankauer ether mask/inhaler, mesh type; the mask consists of (a) a solid metal base formed into an egg-shaped oval, with a convex mesh attached to it to form the top; (b) a flexible spiral gauzeholding wire fits over the mesh and snugly onto the base; the mask base has a handle at its narrower end for lifting the wire on and off; a piece of gauze has been placed onto the mesh and is held in place by the wire.
