Silver metal dental crown stretcher; two handles, curved inward, end with flat, circular discs that lie flat against each other at top of instrument; five pairs of knobs bolted over edges of discs; knobs all have different shapes but are generally rounded; pairs open and close when handles are moved inward and outward; screw between handles can widen or shorten the amount of space in between pairs of knobs; yellow adhesive around one handle.

Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008; this item was donated by Dr. Dennis Smith from Winnipeg, Manitoba, who described the item as a crown stretcher
