Grey metal dental articulator; triangular base; adjustable round plate at front; back branches of triangle have rectangular pieces of metal rising up, ending with metal circles with rectangular cut-outs in their middles; cylindrical piece of metal sits between them, with round ends placed in the cut-outs; screws at top allow placement of cylindrical piece to shift; rectangular section of metal comes forward, perpendicular to cylinder, parallel to base; cylinder with pointed end touches down on plate at front of articulator; two round mounting plates (b, c) screw onto top of base and bottom of upper rectangular section

Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008; this item was donated by Dr. D. Christopher Clarke from Vancouver, British Columbia.
This item's patent was filed in 1923 and patented in 1928; Rudolph Hanau's first articulator was designed in 1921
