Medium-sized eight page cream paper rectangular pamphlet folded and stapled in the fold plus a heavy cardstock cover with a green cover and cream text; on the title page there is mentioning of the pamphlet number, title, author and an image of ten soldiers in uniform carrying rilfe above a description about how many soldiers have died on account of venereal diseases; nine of the soldiers are primarily cream coloured, but one of them is only outlined in cream with the rest of the soldier shaded green, blending in with the background to demonstrate that a portion of soldiers die from venereal diseases; there are thirty-two pages of content in black writing accompanied by bolded and capitalized titles and various images; these images show pictures pertaining to statistics around syphilis infections, the public agencies focusing on controlling venereal diseases, and how to check prostitution; the back of the pamphlet is a list of seventy-nine public affairs pamphlets.

This pamphlet originally belonged to the Health League of Canada, which was founded on the purpose of providing health education and promoting disease prevention. After the Health League of Canada discontinued, its records were moved to the National Archives of Canada in Ottawa and later discovered by Arthur Gryfe, a former MD and appointed archivist of the Health League of Canada, even though the group barely existed at the time of his appointment.
