Research Facts
This denture is made from acrylic resin, a material introduced into denture-making in the 20th century and still dominates today; it is light, easy to shape, and realistic looking. This type of implant, the metal screws which connect the denture to the base, were developed by Swedish surgeon Per-Ingvan Branemark in the 1960s, and they were a revolution in the field.
