Anatomic model in a case, which consists of (a) a rectangular wood and cardboard suitcase that has a lid hinged onto the bottom with three hinges at the back; the top and bottom of the suitcase are reinforced with flat strips of wood and the corners with heavy plastic pieces; there are clasps with locks at the front, left and right, and a handle in the centre; the inside of the suitcase has a piece of leather which supports the lid when opened; the bottom has four cloth straps set into it and there are two more at the top of the bottom half of the case; the suitcase stores (b) an anatomic model, which is set onto a flat rectangular wooden base; the model represents a cut-away human heart and lungs; (c) a model of a human head fits onto (b); this model shows the head of a woman who has blonde hair held back with a white hairband; the model is made of plastic (except the hair) with a central metal base; this base hooks onto (b); the model head is held in place in the suitcase by (d) a square cardboard box with an open top and an oval hole cut in one side for the neck of the model; also included in the suitcase with the model are: (e) an instruction card with printed information on heavy paper cut into a circle; the card gives instructions on how to make a formed sheet to cover the model's nose and mouth, using (f) a plastic form which is triangular in shape, with rounded points and cut-out spaces for the nose and mouth; the form was to be used with a forming apparatus and plastic sheets, but these are missing; (g) a cylindrical plastic bottle of alcohol (now empty) is also included to use as a disinfectant for the model between trainees; the bottle has a cylindrical tapered neck and a round cap; there is a printed paper label on the outside which has instructions in four languages; (h) a printed sheet of paper lists the methods of proper use and care of the Anatomic Anne model; this sheet is stored in a clear plastic cover; also with the model (but not catalogued) are some gauze pads.

(a) The case is very worn and has break points at the top; the inside paper is missing many small sections; (b,c) the model is stained and worn, but appears complete; (d) the box is worn, but complete; (e) the instruction card has no damage, and all printing is visible; (f) the form is very worn; it is cracked in the middle and has a broken section at the bottom; there are no missing sections; (g) the container is stained, but complete, with no cracks; the label is stained but fully legible; (h) the instruction sheet shows minor staining, but is complete and fully legible; #2 no new damage
