(a) A hand-made instrument sterilizer which consists of a shallow, rectangular metal box with sem-circular handles attached on sides with bolted metal attachment; the edges are hand-crimped and rounded, each being sealed with a solder compound; the lid (b) is a flat piece of metal with a linch lip soldered just inside the perimeter; two rectangular-shaped metal handles are soldered on the surface of the lid; the lip fits inside the main box (a), giving a good seal; the sieve tray (c) is a flat piece of metal with upturned sides and semi-circular handles protruding on both ends; the surface has 50 holes (5 rows of 10), allowing the free flow of water over the tray
