Safety cap and spout with a pin index attachment; this consists of a round metal cap that is threaded on the inside and has vertical grip lines cut into the lower outside edges; there is a round hole in the top of the cap with a cylindrical plastic tube going through it; the end of the tube has a pin index piece attatched to it; this is a rectangular piece of metal with two holes in the bottom and a circular slot cut into one side; this pin index will only fit into a halothane vaporizer; the cap end of the tube has a smaller cylindrical plastic tube attached at the centre with a flat circle of metal attached to it; this smaller tube leads upwards and into the main plastic tube, through its entire length.

Research Facts
This cap will fit onto the top of a bottle of halothane anaesthetic; the pin index system ensures that the proper anaesthetic is put into a vaporizer; this is done by having a unique pin index shape for each anaesthetic agent.
