De Vilbiss nebulizer, which is a cylindrical tube with a straight-cut end that arches and flares into a bulbous chamber; a small rubber stopper is inserted in bottom of chamber; it tapers downwards into a smaller bulbous chamber with a small stem extending from the centre; this has straight, cylindrical sides with a tiny upturned lip; this stem is open and leads into the interior of the chamber; the stem in the chamber is a thin tube that has an additional tube attached by way of a small piece of glass; the tube has an open end and stops just above the inserted rubber stopper.
