Suction tip (a) consists of a hollow, round metal tube with a round hole at the base; the base tapers slightly into a thinner, straight tube; the tube curves near the suction end, and has a rounded tip; there are two oval holes in the tube at this end, one on one side 0.5 cm from the tip, the other on the opposite side 1.5 cm from the tip; the cap (b) fits into the round hole at the flared base of the tube; it is a short, round tube with a round hole at one end and a slightly rounded top on the other; a 1.8 cm long split runs along either side of the tube from the hole; a thin band of metal encircles this part of the tube; at the end of these two splits, the tube flares slightly; two rows of gripping lines bisect this flared portion; the remainder is straight and smooth towards the closed end.
