Asepto irrigating syringe, which consists of a hollow glass barrel with a pointed catheter tip and a round, hollow red rubber squeeze bulb at its top; the glass barrel has a small round opening at its pointed tip, and a larger, lipped opening at its wider end; the rubber bulb is inserted into this end; a round opening is visible at the bottom end of the rubber bulb.
On the side of the red rubber bulb, raised rubber letters read, "ASEPTO // TRADE MARK // 3 OZ // B-D" and at the top, "BECTON, DICKINSON & CO. // RUTHERFORD, N.J. // PAT. 2,086,925" inside a circle; on top of the bulb in black marker is the number "12".

Condition Remarks
The glass barrel of the syringe was in very good condition, with no breaks, chips or scratches; the rubber bulb was deteriorating; the part inserted into the barrel was crumbling, leaving an orange deposit on the inner surface of the glass; there were cracks developing on the rest of its surface; there was a thin, white film on the inner surface of the barrel, possibly water stains; #2: rubber - may require special treatment.
