Fisher burette holder, which consists of a flat, X-shaped piece of metal with a central screw and rubberized arm tips; two additional arms are set at each end between the main arms, and can be moved inwards via heavy coiled springs attached to the underside of the clamp; the tips of each arm are rubberized, and each has a rounded peg extending vertically from its surface; in the centre of the underside, there is a solid, thick metal hook extending vertically beside the screw.
In the centre of the top surface, in raised metal letters: "FISHER BURETTE HOLDER // CASTALOY"; on the underside of the clamp in raised metal letters: "PAT'D JUNE 1933 // MADE IN U.S.A."

Condition Remarks
A bluish-green corrosion was covering the metal arms in patches closest to the rubberized tips; the underside also showed signs of this corrosion; a chip of the metal plate had come away from the top surface of the clamp; there was a white residue on portions of the rubber tips; the clamp was dusty; all parts moved freely.
