Chain clamp, which consists of a hollow, cylindrical metal rod, inserted into a V-shaped base; the rod has a round opening at each end; at the top of the V-shaped base there is a control knob with gripping lines stamped around it, attached to a threaded metal piece that runs through the top of the base; this piece is attached to a flat metal bar that emerges from a slot in the base on the opposite side; at the end of this bar, a chain is attached; the control knob controls the back and forth movement of the bar and chain; the bottom of the base consists of two angled rubberized tips; in the underside of the V-shaped base, the threaded metal piece is visible running through the base attached to the metal bar; this piece is surrounded by a metal spring.
Above the control knob at the top of the V-shaped base, "FISHER // CASTALOY" appears in raised metal letters.

Condition Remarks
The chain clamp was dusty; there was an oily black deposit on the rubberized tips; there were blue-green patches of corrosion on the inner surface of the rod, as well as several patches on the V-shaped bottom piece; all parts move freely; the chain was rusty.
