B-D ear irrigating syringe with attachments; the syringe (a) has a round, hollow metal barrel with a round Luer-Lok tip and an attached plunger at the other end;the plunger is made of a long, narrow piece of metal that is threaded at the operator end; a round thumb push (b) screws onto the end of the plunger; attachments that fit onto the Luer-Lok tip of the syringe include: (c) a two-way valve with rubber tubing and spherical metal sinker; the valve is made of a short length of metal tubing with a round attachment at the bottom that has a length of rubber hose attached to it; the end of the rubber tubing has an attached spherical metal ball that has a small hole and slot at the bottom; another attachment is (d) a Pomeroy shield; this consists of a short length of hollow metal tubing, one end of which attaches to (c) and the other attaches to a tip (e); the Pomeroy shield has a round concave dish-like piece at the centre of the tube; a Pomeroy ear tip (e) attaches to one end of the Pomeroy shield; the tip is cylindrical and hollow; the end where it attaches to the shield is round; the other end has a tapered rounded tip that is open; another attachment is (f) a catheter tip; this tip is made of cylindrical hollow metal, round at one end and slightly tapered at the tip; both ends are open; the outer edges have raised vertical lines stamped into them all around.

Condition Remarks
The metal parts show some wear, but no corrosion is visible; the rubber tube has minor staining visible, but is flexible and uncracked; #2: rubber is worn; metal is tarnished.
