Four typical thumb lancets slotted inside a paper box case with leather exterior covering. All lancets are from different brands and in varying conditions. All lancet tortoiseshell covers with each design being unique. The rectangular case has a brown leather base with a thinner grey leather frame extending upwards as lancet slots. The case lid is missing, exposing the four lancets while stored in the case.

July 23, 2023: Surface scratches, discolouration, surface grime, and wear; lots of dark grey blade tarnish on lancet (a), (b), and (c); black speckles along blade (b) and brown rust around pin connection; lancet (b) cover base chipped around pin with large jagged broken edge on other arm base exposing portion of pin; broken horizontal base edge of lancet (a) arm; spotted tan staining on upper interior of lancet (c) cover; some black speckling on blade (c); minimal scratching and wear on lancet (d); box flaking, peeling, fading and discolouration, surface grime, and slight warping
