#2: (a) glass tube shows moderate signs of use; minor scratches and nicks on about 20% of surface; (b) bakelite has some minor scratches at opening and minor discolouration at the bottom (slightly lighter brown); (c) glass tube shows signs of wear; brown patches near the bottom of the tube; scratches and some stains at the top; (d) bakelite has a small scratch near the opening, approx. 0.2 cm; (e) shows signs of use; several patches of unknown deposit; (f) shows signs of use on the bottom; scratches and some discolouration; patches of stains throughout; (h) box shows signs of use; scratches and discolouration over approx. 75%; minor rust along the seams of the lid; cotton is darker where the scopes were resting.
