A long, rectangular wooden case (g) is covered with a paper material; it contains (a) a glass slide, (b,c) pipettes, (d) rubber tubing, (e) an ivory connector, (f) a thin metal strip, and (h) a glass connector; on the underside of the lid of (g) is a rounded metal piece with a circular hole near the top; this metal piece fits into a small slit in the case's lower portion; when closed in this manner, there is a metal rod that can be pushed from right to left and serves to lock the lid by being run through the circular hole in the lid's metal piece; the interior of the case is lined with a velvet-like material; the top surface of the case's lower portion has a number of depressions in which the various items fit; the glass slide (a) has a bulls-eye portion in the centre, and the centre is surrounded by a square of yellowish-coloured glass; the two pipettes are very similar to the ones in 1972.18.55 (a,d).

Across the middle portion of the lid's exterior: "BLUTKÖRPER ZAHLAPPARAT"; just beneath it is: "C. REICHERT, WIEN"; on the glass slide, to the left of the yellowish square, in white lettering: "0 1 T. // 1/400 qm/m"; to the right of the square is inscribed in white: "C. Reichert // Wien".

Case is coming apart; #2: case and interior in dilapidated state; rubber broken and stiff; velvet lining ripped; wood exposed through ripped leather.
